Neptune is a coming 5 year old Gypsy Vanner x Percheron gelding standing 16.1 hands high. If you want a horse you can pull out of the stall and go out for a hack, hunt, or trailer to a friends, and never have to worry about feeling unsafe, Neptune is your man. This sweet gelding really checks all of the boxes. He has the quiet mind and sensible nature that everyone needs, has the athletic ability and talent for the rider who wants it, the kind and lovable personality that everyone loves, and of course show stopping looks to boot! Neptune is safe for the kids, smart around the hounds, and don't let those big feet fool you, he has the smoothest and slowest canter around. Watch him on the cross country field or hunter paces, he gracefully jumps any fence you put in front of him. There isn't much you can't do with Neptune, horse lover or not, you will find yourself enchanted by him!
In the ring, Neptune is comfortable and easy. His gaits are smooth as butter and easy to sit. You will not believe the canter this horse has, it is unreal! Neptune rides English, Western, and Bridleless! He knows how to spin, sidepass, and leg yield. He has a nice big stop, easy transitions, and will ride round in the bridle or on a loose rein. Kids of all ages and levels have ridden him in lessons, he is forgiving and tolerant. Neptune is the perfect mix of whoa and go. He doesn't tire your leg out asking him to move out, but will also never go faster than you ask him to. Neptune has a rock solid foundation, and a great brain. He can do any job with any level rider and continue to be quiet, safe, and successful.
On the trails and off property, Neptune is the ATV of horses. He will cross any river, go up any hill, carefully go down steep banks, and will get you home safe on any terrain. He rides out alone and will be just as braves if he was in a group. He is used to riding along traffic, trucks, atvs, and livestock. Every time we have taken Neptune off property he has been the same horse as he is at home. In his full video, you will see him flatting and on the xc course. That video was taken with no prep, fresh off the trailer, first tine at that place, first ride after being stuck in a stall all weekend due to bad weather. There was no spooking, no silliness, and no concern that he would put a foot wrong. He is the same ride, every time, no matter the circumstance, and that is something you can't train into a horse, they either have that or they don't!
In the barn, Neptune is a love bug. He enjoys being groomed and pampered, and is used to the kids hanging all over him and braiding his mane and tail. He is the same horse whether he lives inside or out, and gets along well with his pasture mates. Neptune has such silly personality, he is always making us laugh! Neptune is an easy keeper with no vices, quirks, or maintenance.
