Wildfire is a beautiful, eye-catching, very well-mannered, intelligent, easy learner, and well-trained, sound 10 yr old TWH. An exceptional horse with no vices or bad habits and a smooth, easy gait, whether at the walk, gaiting, or cantering/gallop. We have logged over 5000 trail miles on him on some of the most challenging trails. He can do it all: open gates, close gates, front feet hobble, side feet hobble, front and side hobbles at the same time, side pass 100 yards each way, back up 600 feet or more, and we can back him up through curves, or doing circles over any object, drag fallen trees off your fence or drag firewood to your camping fire, see videos. You can work, rope, rate, or track cattle with him. His summers are spent on a real working cattle ranch, gathering, moving, and working cattle every day, winters in the Southwest where we trail ride five times a week. Perfectly built, with the power to take you anywhere and the finesse to maneuver through the most challenging terrain, and has been trained to whoa, walk, gait, and canter on voice commands, see videos. He has been ridden in the “Fiesta De Vaquero” parade, the largest nonmotorized horse parade in the world, two years in a row with almost a thousand horses and hundreds of wagons proudly carrying the American Flag, see videos. He has no fears and does not spook at anything.

For years, he has been trailed and ridden extensively throughout the Midwest and Southwest Mountains, climbing steep trails and crossing deep rivers. He is a more sensible and sure-footed horse you will not find. He has never bucked, reared, or bolted—never! He is as safe a horse as you will ever ride. Anyone can ride him, and we use him for our guests to ride on our ranch or on trail rides.

Wildfire knows lateral flexion, vertical flexion, has forward, backward, sideways propulsion and yields to pressure, see videos. We ride him in a TRUE SNAFEL on a loose rein. He can do diagonals and two steps while doing it. He has been desensitized to almost everything you may encounter on the trail: dogs, wildlife, bikes, four-wheelers, UTVs, cars, trucks, semis, wagons, and gunfire he was used by the Tucson Police, Border Patrol, and Pima County sheriff’s department for their funeral rehearsals and stood quietly when multiple 21 gun salutes were fired within 6 feet of him and numerous flyovers by a squadron of helicopters in tribute of a fallen law enforcement officer 20 feet over our head.

He’s the kind of horse you can give him a year off, get him, saddle him, and ride him, and he will respond like you rode him yesterday.

He’s just not pretty. He is a horse that has utility. He can do any work you need and does it willingly. He moves off leg pressure easily, quickly responding to your desires and allowing you to control his feet in any direction.
