Patch is the gelding in the pasture that is always easy to catch, will fit anybody and you can always rely on him to be safe.
Patch’s profession is to be a family horse. In the arena he has smooth and easy gaits that are pleasurable to ride. He picks up both leads flawlessly and lopes even pretty circles. He neck reins and is very simple to ride and get along with.
On the trails Patch is reliable. He is not spooky or sour. He will ride out alone or will travel at any position within a group. Patch has experience around dogs, crossing water, scaling steep and tricky terrain and picking his way through swampy bottoms.
Patch is the easiest of keepers. He is barefoot and has no social needs. He maintains a place in the middle of the totem pole in the herd. The only quirk he has is he does not love a tube of wormer so we use in-feed wormer. Patch is easy to catch in the pasture, ties quietly, trailers well and is overall very well mannered with a kind and loving personality.
